Career — Since 2019 Amadeus

Nov 2024 - It's and my History

I have been building websites since the early 2000s, and navigation based "all file type" windows app viewers since my 2000 vb6 days. In 2005 I build a static html site which I converted to a vanilla php site in 2011 when I learnt php. In 2012, MicroVic was born, my first "framework" for file based cms.

What I am trying to say is, a lot of experience has gone into the crafting of AmadeusWeb - currently in version 5.4, and my "golden hammer" to end all hammers. It's very very simple, elegant and powerful, and I prefer it to wordpress as articulated here: https://amadeusweb.com/why-us/

With my diverse experience as a programmer/ technical lead, I can help IT companies with:

  • Building engineering team wide knowledge bases and processes which covers coding guidelines and practices like separation between functional and technical functions.

  • Mentor seniors to write good infrastructure or framework code to fit screen and feature requirements that prevents the copy pasting of boilerplate code.

  • Setup a technical growth or professional development process where juniors are guided to make presentations and deliver them, becoming independent valued contributors.

  • Setup an Organisational Excellence team that deals with oft missed intangibles and growth criteria.

  • Setup an attractive talent portal that conveys work culture, attitudes desired, peer-learning, showcases the work of employees and retains talent.

Uptil Aug 2024

In 2011 I published Savitri using a large php array. With that my love for file based CMSes began and this culminated the next year in the MicroVC framework.

I was also reading folders in a wordpress plugin to deliver subpages in what is now legacy.yieldmore.org.

After battling security issues with wordpress, I decided to build my own cms and dubbed it Amadeus which is now in version 5.

It's extremely simple and performant. https://archives.yieldmore.org/sitemap/?debug=1

Everything is a folder containing text or markdown files. The yieldmore code flavour supports banners, presentations, subpages, articles, text to speech, floating words, wikis, galleries and custom code.

Since content is file or sheet based, everything of the website is backed up to github.

Ideal for freelancers and digital agencies that needs to manage vast additions to content of their many clients, across local, preview and live environments, I believe this will revolutionize the way we build things.

Its also a great way for a student or fresher to begin, focusing on the content first then slowly looking under the hood.

I do offer web development services with it and am available to train one and all.
